WHAT THE ROLE IS ALL ABOUT!
Reporting to the Trucking Dispatcher, the Class 1 Truck Driver is responsible for transporting freight of different sorts including dry van loads and overweight and over dimensional loads. This is a permanent, full-time position and will require a flexible working schedule.
ESSENTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS WE NEED FROM YOU!
- Haul heavy equipment and freight to and from multiple jobsites.
- Check-in with dispatcher upon arrival to the trucking department.
- Ensure electronic and daily trip logs are up to date and submitted daily.
- Complete pre and post trip inspections and document accordingly.
- Create proper bill of ladings when picking up and dropping off equipment at sites.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation including D.O.T regulations.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU BE A POSITIVE IMPACT?
- Must hold a valid Class 1 driver’s license.
- Minimum 5+ years of Class 1 driving is required.
- Experience hauling construction equipment will be considered an asset.
- Experience hauling multi-axle configurations will be considered an asset.
- Experience driving on winter roads will be considered an asset.
